Q. How are these different to ‘Turkey Teeth’?
A. Turkey Teeth are always full crowns, not veneers at all. 60% of your tooth will be drilled away by the Turkish dentist when creating crowns. This can cause severe problems later and weakens the teeth.
Q. Will they look natural?
A. Any smile makeover can be designed to look ‘natural’ or more ‘Hollywood’ depending on what you would like. This is discussed at the beginning and your Trial Smile adjusted until the right blend of natural and Hollywood is achieved.
Q. Will the SuperThin veneers change the colour of my teeth?
A. You will need to whiten your teeth first. The SuperThin veneers are very thin and do not impart much colour themselves, but in combination with whitening, your smile can be whiter.
Q. How are the SuperThin veneers so strong when they are so thin?
A. The strength comes from the bond between the tooth and the veneer.
Q. Will they chip and stain like composite bonding? Will they lose their shine?
A. No, these are some of the major advantages of SuperThin porcelain veneers and why they last much longer than composite bonding.
Q. How do SuperThin porcelain veneers differ to traditional porcelain veneers?
A. SuperThin porcelain veneers are much thinner and usually require no drilling. Traditional porcelain veneers require 0.5-1mm tooth reduction.
Q. What kind of porcelain is used with SuperThin porcelain veneers?
A. Either Feldspathic porcelain or Emax porcelain can be used, whichever is more suitable for your case.
Q. Why would people chose composite bonding over SuperThin porcelain veneers?
A. It’s cheaper. And most probably their dentists aren’t trained/experienced to do full mouth smile makeovers with porcelain veneers. So they don’t offer it.
Q. What’s the life expectancy of SuperThin porcelain veneers?
A. Porcelain veneers will last over 10 years and often over 20 years.
Q. Can the cost of the cosmetic work be spread over time?
