Create The Smile You Have Always Wanted
A good smile is incredibly important – it is the first thing others notice about us. A smile makeover typically involves fixing the front 8 to 10 teeth on your upper jaw. It can also include 8 to 10 front teeth on the lower jaw. The treatment frequently uses porcelain veneers, implants / crowns and cosmetic bonding to create a beautiful, natural smile that you can wear with confidence.
Before and After
Porcelain Veneers –individually crafted porcelain shells fitted to the front of the teeth are very popular for smile makeovers. Usually used to fix gaps between teeth, damaged teeth and permanently stained teeth.
Cosmetic Bonding – Usually used to improve the appearance of cracked or chipped teeth. Helps where minor repairs or subtle changes to the teeth shape is needed.
Crowns – Crowns can be a good option if you prefer not to have porcelain veneers. A porcelain crown can be used to improve the size, shape and appearance of a tooth, producing beautiful results.
Contouring – the procedure is used to level a smile line that’s uneven. Often used to level a pointed canine or small chip.
Implants – Dental implants are the most effective solution for replacing missing teeth. It’s the only procedure that comes closest to replicating the function of natural teeth.
Gummy smile correction – Gum contouring can be used to remove excess gum tissue to improve the appearance of an uneven gum lines or a gummy smile. Aesthetic treatments can also help in some cases.
Teeth Whitening – Brighten your smile with professional teeth whitening on completion of preceding cosmetic procedures. Zoom Instant Whitening provides instant whitening results. Or try Enlighten, a premium whitening system that guarantees results.
At Whites Dental, our cosmetic dentists can help you design the smile you want before actually starting any treatment. This is part of our smile design process, integral to all our smile makeovers. We will first conduct a thorough assessment of your teeth and provide you with various treatment options. Once you are happy with the options chosen, we will create a physical 3D model (also called a study model) of what your teeth will look like after treatment. This gives you the opportunity to view your new smile in the minutest detail and from all angles. You can suggest changes at this stage. Once you are happy with your new smile design, we will then manufacture veneers, crowns and implants to the exact specification in the smile design model to create a beautiful new smile for you.

Smile Makeover – FAQs
How long will a smile makeover take?
The duration of smile makeover treatment varies from patient to patient; it depends on what treatments you choose to undertake to fix your smile. If you have chosen simple procedures such as composite bonding and teeth whitening, the smile makeover may only take one or two appointments. More complex procedures such as implants and crowns take longer to complete as the implant takes time to fuse with the jawbone.
What are the benefits of a smile makeover treatment?
A smile makeover typically involves a number of different treatments to fix different aspects of the smile. Each treatment has its own associated benefits – for example, teeth whitening will help to whiten stained teeth, providing a fresh bright smile to the patient. A smile makeover provides the following overall benefits –
- It improves your self-confidence and feeling of well-being.
- It improves oral health and also overall health.
- It revives your desire to smile frequently and confidently again.
Are smile makeovers expensive?
The cost of a smile makeover depends on the treatments you choose to fix different aspects of your smile. Simple treatments such as composite bonding and teeth whitening are relatively cheaper, costing only a few hundred pounds each. More complex treatments such as dental implants are more expensive and can cost much more. If you would like a more accurate cost for the treatments you need, why not book a consultation with one of our cosmetic dentists. They will be very happy to assist.
